This Travel Policy describes the basic rules and regulations which are applied for all the people who travel with Trans-Indochina Travel and the people who are working for us. Travelers who are not clear about the Policy can refer to our office in cities for more information.

• Accommodation

We categorize the accommodation which is for passengers in the tours into 4 classes:

Standard Class: We will use 2-star hotels. Actually these hotels are not ranked officially by VNAT. They have all the necessary facility like hot water, air conditioner, clean rooms, English speaking receptionist (in cities), telephone, and fax. In the remote areas, they are not 2-star but all are clean and good reputation to travel agents as well as Westerner guests.

Superior Class: 3-star hotels in cities are recognized by VNAT. They provide good services large room, good facilities and some even has swimming pool. There are plenty of 3-star hotels in Saigon, Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An, Halong….

First Class: Most of the hotels offered in this level are 4 star hotels which are operated by good domestic administration or Joint Venture Company. Some good resorts are in 4-star level.

Deluxe Class: We use the best hotels and resorts in all cities, town or countryside stop. In cities, they are 5 star, 6 star but in some remote areas, the hotels are best available. When a tour covers these places, we will advise clients in advance.

When we calculate the tour price we always base on the lowest (cheapest) category of room in hotels and resorts. In some hotels, lowest category is Standard Room (in most 2-star hotels). In 4 star or 5 star hotels, lowest category may be Superior room or something because they may avoid the word Standard.

Whenever travelers want to upgrade to better room they should send us a request and it will be perceived that they accept to pay the extra cost for it evidently.

The check-in and check-out times in different hotels are different. Normally, check-in time is after 12h00 and check-in time is before 12h00. Our tour price is based on the normal check-in and out time of the hotels. If travelers want to have rooms earlier than check-in time or check out later than 12h00 they will send us a request and the travelers will evidently pay the extra cost.

• Air Travel

Coach class or any discounted class airfare shall be used in the interest of economy.  The use of business or first-class or other higher cost services may be upon request and extra paying.

• Automobile Travel

For the group tour, we will arrange mini bus, bus but travelers may use hire private vehicle if it is more convenient and comfortable than renting a car, taking a taxi as long as it does not affect the group schedule. For the family tour or private tour, a private vehicle is always used.  

• Rental Cars

A vehicle may be rented when travelers does not need any other service like guiding, hotel booking and so on. In case travelers want to by extra services other than car rental, please contact our agent in each city.

• Guiding

We can support guiding services speaking English, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Chinese and so on.

English is the most popular language used in Vietnam travel industry. Please kindly note that the Italian, German, Japanese speaking guides are always busy and rare. For example, the cost for guiding in Italian is 50 USD to 60 USD per day.

Basically, different guides will serve the tour in different cities. Whenever the tour requires all-route accompanying, we will arrange these guides and the cost for accommodation (if any); return air ticket (if any) will be covered by the customers.

Our guides are never permitted to play the Black Hand over services provided to customers. They are never permitted to eat or drink on the same table with customers.

We understand that guiding is the most important sector to the package tours as a good guide and solve the problem and make the tourists happy.

• Traveler Insurance

All the vehicles used in the tours have adequate liability insurance coverage.  

Anyone who bought the insurance themselves in their countries or anywhere in the world other than Vietnam will be non-responsibly assisted by our staff.
The Policy applies to all customers, including travel agency and FIT guests.
